The Bunker Trail pumping system consists of 4 small lift stations located on Vashon Island that convey raw sewage from homes and businesses to the Vashon Treatment Plant. Award worked for King County to replace pumps, piping, valves, and associated electrical and I&C items at each station. The work also involved lining wet wells for corrosion protection, installation of odor control systems, and replacement of standby generators. The work required careful scheduling, coordination, and operation of a sewer bypass, to maintain critical operations.
